Parish Life Ministries

The Parish Life ministries add vibrancy to our community life by focusing on knitting social connection and care between and among parishioners.

The Hospitality Ministry prepares and serves food and refreshments to compliment parish socials, funerals, meetings, and liturgical celebrations. This ministry also includes special events during the year. Hospitality ministers are key to creating a warm and welcoming sensibility to parish gatherings.

After Mass Hospitality

Volunteers build community after the weekend Masses by preparing and serving coffee, tea, cookies, etc. and helping with clean-up.

Volunteers Needed

You can help by donating your time. St. Leo operates on the generosity of our loving community.

Family Social events Committee

The Family Social Events Committee provides opportunities for parishioners to come together in friendship, community and service by planning and developing various activities. Some events include the Simbang Gabi Family Mass, Pentecost celebration, Church picnic/berry picking at L’Arche, and the All Saints/Dia de Los Muertos celebration.  Volunteers are always needed to help pull together these events that strengthen the bonds between the members of our faith family, and help them to get to know one another better.

  • Do you enjoy helping to plan gatherings that would benefit all families?
  • Do you have a creative streak?
  • Do you like being part of a team?
Then this committee may be for you! St. Leo Family Social Events Committee meets monthly on the second Sunday of the month after the 10:30 Mass, to discuss family social event needs in the parish and for event planning.

St. Leo’s Play Group

This play group provides a great opportunity for kids to play and parents to connect and support each other on the journey. Play dates are hosted at family homes, parks, and other kid-friendly venues. We meet twice a month during the week and have special weekend activities throughout the year. Activities are geared toward ages 0-5, but all families are welcome!
